Growing up as a little girl, I used to beg my mother to allow me to use her Kodak Junior camera until she finally gave in and bought me my very own ‘Brownie’. I loved that little camera and still have albums with black and whites of friends, family and the farm I grew up on. As the years past, my interest continued and when digital cameras arrived on the scene my passion for photography was renewed. I soon began making my own photographic cards and sharing them with friends.

My desire is to capture images that deliver a visual impact and allow the viewer to see the beauty in nature around them, often in something very ordinary that they may have passed many times before. This carries over into my portrait photography where my goal is to bring out the beauty and personality of each and everyone I photograph.

I am continually learning and challenging myself not only in taking the photographs but in post processing as well. I have completed several courses including beauty retouching and hydynamic range photography. I recently completed a Black & White photography course.

The St. Thomas Portrait Photography studio continues to be lots of fun. I now have twenty new gels for quick change backgrounds that are stunning! I have been working with Lindsay Atrridge of Make Up by Lindsay Louise doing "Look Your best" photo sessions. These sessions have been especially popular with moms and daughters of all ages from 4 to 80.

This year (2013) marks a new era for me as I invested in and upgraded to a Canon full frame camera and a few select lenses. The results from this new system are outstanding, especially in low light conditions.
